Upon Eagles Wings.

There is a beautiful quote by Maya Angelou that is goes ....."A bird does not sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song". That is a wonderful saying that does poetic justice to our singing friends. I truly appreciate the outdoor life having lived in an area that boasts an incredibly diverse aviarian population that has never disappointed.

So let's discuss the singing birds and how peaceful God's creation is for those that listen. How often do you walk outside and just hear the birds chirping and stop to listen? I for one really enjoy hearing different birds, and have put out a bird feeder in my yard. Watching them fill up and fly away with a belly full is definitely a calming past time. I truly believe that they are an amazing teacher if you really stop and try to pay attention.

But let's not get too far away from the topic at hand. We all have been enamoured with watching them soar to incredible heights and glide on the updrafts and currents of the wind. I decided to go out on a limb here and ask of my readers a really important question. How many people have dreamed of flying to the heights that bald eagles dominate? To get away from the hustle and the many things that perpetually aggravate each of you? Did you know that the Bald Eagle will soar higher and farther into the sky ..... to where the bothersome crows can't breath? It will stay in the highest mountain peaks and tallest trees and hunt, rest and avoid the crowds.

We must be willing and able to soar upon eagles wings and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. Let the Lord be your protection and your Rock...may he keep you safe from the enemies and the devil's wiles. Let the Bible be your tall mountain peak, resting in His word.
