Dew And Thorns

Sitting on the porch watching the gentle spring rain bringing life to the dry plants is so calming. Enjoying a quiet few moments taking in the fresh air in your lungs. Watching the plants open up in and take in the moisture and the sunlight leaking through the clouds....sounds of birds singing.
I love watching plants soak up the dew and sunlight.... As if they are singing in their own way. There is nothing more beautiful than watching and listening to nature worship the Lord. Especially a rose bush with the deep red petals glistening in the dew, with that strong scent catching your attention. But what about those stems that have thorns that grab anything and everything when you try to hold it and inhale it. Something so pretty and attractive yet it holds up it's own defense on thick stems.
We can attest to the fact that even though something is absolutely beautiful and incredibly attractive...... sometimes you get the thorns too. You can either stop and focus on the pain and blood as being wronged....or you can accept the discomfort and the beauty as one package. Everyone has days where they are the dew in someone's life and other days the thorns show.
This is where you have to learn about the term "forbearance". Hold the other person in your arms and pray, love and accept. I'm sure as Jesus Christ took the thorns for a mocking crown hanging on the Cross it hurt more than physically. Yet through Him we are forgiven and are promised eternal life in heaven.
Are you the dew in someone's thorns?
Are you giving your thorny walls to the Lord?
Are you loving someone when they struggle?

Eph. 4: 29 to 32
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
