A Sober Soul

There is a certain feeling that will envelope you when you see something so beautiful. Whether it's a bird flying or a bee pollinating a beautiful lilly....it will invoke a certain emotion that will stir a soul. Even if someone people like me use glasses .....it's still amazing to be in the midst of the Lord's handiwork. But with that said I must say that it can come after you break free from the chains binding your mind and soul.
How often are we looking at life from behind figurative bars?
What is your looking glass made of?
I'm not talking about the prison bars or anything literal at this moment. Let's instead delve into what can figuratively hold us prisoner in our own soul and mind. Alcohol in and of itself doesn't hold you hostage as much as your decisions do. The devil is going to rot your soul and ruin your life if you let him. So what is your looking glass made of? Is it looking at the future with your addiction staring you in the face? Or is it looking at a sober soul while looking towards the future?
The decisions are on you to make.
The guidance and help and forgiveness is from God.
You may be rejected here on earth but give your all to God and be amazed.
I for one have had to struggle and fight for sobriety and a clear line of sight from my soul. It was made very crystal clear that it was either my fiance at the time or the alcohol. Not wanting to lose a very special lady who is now my beautiful lovely wife......I made the decisions that I now see as victories. I cannot take an ounce of credit for any of the wins....it was her prayers and God's handiwork.
Yet other times I've struggled with other issues as well and we will always have to come back to God and ask for help and forgiveness. That my dear good friends....is in a unending abundance for those that cry upon the Lord Jesus Christ. So whether it's friends and family trying to get sober or it's your own battles....wait until the world is seen from a clear and sober soul.
